I had the opportunity to sneak out to WP and catch a few Slabs. I hadn’t been there since Jan so I was uncertain of what and where on the fishes pattern.
I found fish in the middle of the creek channel coves suspended 16’ in 32fow and also sitting on the bottom in 12fow. The water temps when I left was 72 deg and still stained from last weeks rain. Finished the day with 20+ in the boat and keep 15 that were over 12”. Favorite color was a Bobby Garland Threadfin Shad that they would chase once you got their attention or woke them up.
