Minn kota ultrex

I finally bit the bullet back in december and purchased a new ultrex after months of pondering. My new motor gave me fits with it stopping in mid flight deploying and retracting. Carried the owners manual to no avail. Nothing seemed like it would work. Finally after several fishing trips and no fishing, finally solved the problem. The remote control has 3 batteries and one of them was not making good contact with the remote. Seated battery into the remote and now it works just like it is supposed to. Hope this helps anyone who purchases a minn kota ultrex and has issues with it. The ultrex gave me few more years to fish with unloading the pontoon becoming cumbersome. Now it is easy. If the remote is bumped just a little bit it will loosen one or more batteries.

I get them mixed up all the time, too. Thanks for the heads up. I have both the large and rhe micro remotes for my Ulterra. I've never had rhem apart to look at the batteries. Usually when mine goes wild, I just blame the wife. I'll keep this info in mind, but to myself. Which remote was giving you trouble?
