Mind boggling stupidity ...
As you could well figure out, there is a crowd that would say this about me and my adventures....:Rofl
But in this case it is more about the mind boggling Stupidity of what color might get bit and what might not ....:cheers2
they bit an yellowish orange flappy tail really well , till it became an ornamental structure down below ....AND I only had that one in my pocket ....:banghead
found male fish up right by the bulkhead , then went to deeper water looking for girl fish, no girls were in the short water best I could tell ....:dono
Starting right off the bat in 7 foot of water just ripping big girls ....MAN was it a great bite ! :highfive
For the most part they seemed to be about half spawned out and really really had the worstest of attitudes I seen in crappie lately...rotfl
Lost several due to the hard hook up runs up under the dock and boats and stayed down on my knees a lot retrieving my jig from up under the walkways ,,,,
The good news is I managed to flip lots of them before they beat me all up , sure is difficult to manage large spring crappie with a small ultralight and so many obstacles down below .
Now here is the mind boggling stupidness of the scenario, put an orange body back on a blue head that was dynamite last week and NEVER got another bite !! nononononono
decided it had to be a color thing and changed to a more yellow really stupid looking colored body and JUST LIKE DAT >> hammer time once again ...go figure ...
a few of the shop folks watched as I ripped em on my lunch break, seems I am pretty good entertainment on your lunch break ...
some that hit my hand were in the really big ole fishee size range and managed one that was 16.5 inches of been instructed to fight like a black bass in the how to be a really mean crappie school , man did she wail on me and the reel ....
the fella watching said this about that , never seen a crappie that big off this dock before ....
KABOOM is near my friends ....:Cowboy
p.s. how short of water were the boys in , look right between the wood floating dock and the pipe supporting the bulkhead in the last image , its about 16 inches deep there.:yikes
