Nimrod Flood Trip
Took a friend out for his first Livescope experience on Nimrod today. I just installed a GPS Map 1022 and Livescope on his boat for him. We took my boat as I run a GPS Map 1222 and trained him on my unit.
Kind of weird fishing 30 FOW when it’s normally 5 FOW. Fish were scattered and somewhat inactive but we still ended up with a nice box of slabs.
Most were suspended at 12 to 16 feet. Water clarity was muddy. Dark hair jigs worked the best for us.

Good job and nice livewell full. I’m sure he appreciated the training.

I was fishing with a guy I worked with for 30 years. He's the reason we started coming up to Nimrod back in the 80's. We sure had fun fishing together. He was a great Livescope student also. Learned quickly. We hit Spot Lock, set down in the boat and shared some deer summer sausage and cheese, and talked about old times. Had a great trip!

That sounds like a great way to spend time

My father and uncle were involved in the building of the dam and clearing of the future Lake Nimrod working for the WPA in the 1930s. Just a couple of young men from Gravely Arkansas on Hwy 28. I spent many hours fishing on the Fourche La Fave river.
