"Don't rightfully know"
Had a few hours this morning so I put in at my home ramp. It's close enough that I unstrap the back at the house. I fished from 9-12 and caught and returned 4 really big white sows off of stakebeds. As Im leaving there's two guys pulling up on a spot that everybody fishes. It's a great spot thst slopes like from 7 to 12 feet with rip rap and bridge column and the current can eddy there. I actually tried it myself. I'm loading up and speak the usual good luck be safe. It's in easy ear shot from the ramp. I head to my obligation(Sunday dinner at Moms). 5 hours later I head to the ramp/store for a can of snuff and rode to the ramp to have change of scenery. Well there's the guys still tied. I cut the car off and chatted and asked the guys how they did. He said " well I don't rightfully know". Here in the south that's a real number. And it's a pretty good number too. I've caught that same # a few times. Have a good Sunday and workweek

I know that spot well. Pulled up one morning just after daylight and caught 13 slabs in about 20 minutes. I fished it on and off the rest of the day and never got another bite. I hope elk river mills and sugar creek are on the come back. Have not fished it in a year and a half but a few years ago sugar creek was a sure bet this time of year. It went down hill about the time the pelicans got real thick in this area. I also caught a 4 lb bass out of that stake bed on a 64 oz jig ;)
