Does anyone have any pointers for early to mid March on Pat Mayse? I've never fished it. I am camping there with my father, and my brothers family March 9-14. I only see them 2 or 3 times a year, and would love to be able to take them out and put a few slabs in the boat while we are there!Attachment 451494

Not a clue on that lake is me , wish I knew , A few years ago I remember a fella that crappie fished in there , looks like a small lake to me , might not be terribly hard to find them in there if there are numbers of them .
Will ask around and see what is up there ...

No luck , but after some research on it , the one end has lots of standing timber and it has black and white crappie in it , numbers sound ok , 2.5 and 2.6 lake records make it sound like a nice crappie lake , report says it’s a good bite , also says look for short water brush in the spring…duh right ….bet you can find staged fish in the timber on the north end , luck to ya
We found a few. 2.03 big fish os the best we could come up with. Not a bad lake. Definitely a better sand bass lake.Quote:
