Nice Boat Ride at Louie

Between the weather, work. and babysitting grandchild, I haven’t fished since Larto get together. It was just too pretty of a day not to go. I have fished a lot of those pretty days in the spring, and rarely had much luck. Still, it was to pretty to stay home.
So, I figured I would go to Louie. Got a few shiners at Upak and headed north. I have a new puppy, so he got to go with me. No boats at the landing, water high and muddy.(perfect?)
Big motor cranked right up. Decided to go up and fish a creek near Bill’s. Saw lots of small fish on Livescope, but no takers. Also the trolling motor didn’t work. Fiddled with it for a while with no luck. Drifted around fishing an area where I have caught some fish in the spring. A couple of nibbles but no fish caught. After a couple hours, I tried the trolling motor again and it worked! (I’m being punished for going salt water fishing)

I was able to fish more thoroughly, but still no fish. Headed back to let the pup stretch his legs. I’m going to try somewhere not as muddy next time.

Sometimes those shake down runs are rough. Hopefully you get things fixed
