Need ideas

Buddy of mines dad has an older Monarch boat that we want to load out for crappie fishing! We are going to rig it and take to southern GA and leave it for our yearly trips to Astor Florida! What Trolling motor and Graph would you recommend for this? He says he thinks it is a 16’ boat. I’m looking at the MotorGuide Xi3 and a Lowrance G3 HD9! We want something that we can at least graph fish, see contours and don’t want to spend a lot of money to do this!

lowrance makes a great cheap graph , 150 or so will get you all you need in that dept.
a good trolling motor set up can be had used for cheap as well . what brand is up to you , the lower end versions all seem very similar to me , might need to "prop" it up with a nice set of blades .
sea foam or treat your fuel and run the carb dry before you store that rig , just saying

May even want to think about saving rental/gas/vehicle wear & tear stay with Cumberland! Met you and your wife @Astor ramp on Fri...neither one of our rigs had fish slime assigned that day. Hopefully, the rest of your visit proves more productive.[emoji106]

I would check out a Garmin UHD SV93 for $699. Best bang for the buck in a side view graph. I have one and it works great!
