No we have not had any events in many years. Was working on one in 2020 when covid hit but had to shut it down. We use to have a lot of meet and greet events where we would set a date and everyone that could come would bring their meal and we would eat then fish. These were a lot of fun but at that time we had many fisherman that were active on the SC board that fished Russell/Clark Hill so they wasn't hard to put together in a few days. We also had a lot of night stalkers that fished together many nights and these would be just a post that said I'm fishing tonight if anyone wants to join in. Many nights we would have 5 or more boats fishing close together.
If you want to put a event together I'm sure many would be interested as long as you keep money out of it, money events can not be posted on here plus it keeps the events friendly where sharing info was common.
Just my luck a dollar short and a day late. Well I’m game if anyone is interested
I’ll donate either the minnows or hotdogs and hamburgers.
Come up here donate that! LOL We got so many things holding us back it is pitiful! Hope you can get a get together going. Someone from up this way may take you up on it and make the drive down there.:cheers2
Myself, Ronnie and William put together alot of Crappiefests for several years here on Russell. The get-togethers are alot of fun but it's also alot of work pulling it all off. Some of you guys on Wylie know what it takes "behind the scenes" to make it happen.
I'm all for the get-togethers and really enjoyed all of them but from my stance I think it's time that some of the other members do the leg work getting it all together and we can still enjoy the Crappiefests. It doesnt have to be as big as the Crappiefests either. As Stump mentioned it can be as simple as everyone bringing their own lunches, have a meet and greet time, and then go fishing. The comradarie will still be there and I'd suspect some of the Bull - - - - would be there too.:biggrin
So......anybody wanting to have something on Russell or Clark Hill then do some planning, give a bit of a notice, and let us know what it's gonna be, where at, and what all everybody needs to do. I'm all for it and hope it falls on a day I can attend.:)
Yes, we do, it takes a toll on one's mind and body! :yikes
