I frequently see pics of rubber legs(I guess silicone spinnerbait skirt material) sticking out the sides, how to you get them through a grub/jig body?

I use a large needle that serves as my bodkin, too.

I have used a bobbin threader in the past. Its basically just a looped thin stainless steel wire. Poke it through the body, put rubber legs the loop, pull loop back through body holding one end of the legs, adjust length and trim excess. Im sure you probably have a piece of wire laying around that will work.

Exactly how I did some "experimental" modifications.
The way I do it is tie the legs to the hook then tie in the chenille, wrapping over and around the rubber legs.
