1989 Tracker glass boat

Does anyone know anything about these boats? It has a 150 Yamaha and I believe it’s 18’ long. Is the transom wood or glass?

not a clue here , but likely glass over wood is what I would tend to think :dono

Would be my guess also for the time when it was built

If you can look at the boat, take the plastic drain hole fitting out of the splash well. You can see if it's wood inside. Did this once on a 1976 Hydra Sport I was looking to buy. Ran a pencil down inside and the wood transom was like cardboard.
Bought it anyway, at a really good price, and had the boat rebuilt. But that's another story.

Never heard of fiberglass Tracker.
Nitro is one of Bass Pro brands that is fiberglass.
Last number on HIN….hull identification number… will tell you the year.
Rebuilding the transom is not a big deal if you are somewhat handy with your hands.
Might double check the floor and any deck, lids, etc.
That can become pretty pricey fast.

In most cases you get what you pay for including boats.
My local Junkyard and Landfill wont even take fiberglass boats.

There were a couple models of glass trackers before the nitro line came out. I’ve seen a few around on boat trader and Craigslist.

It can be a tedious job to replace the transom on a glass boat. And the transom might just be the tip of the iceberg.

You can cut the transom cap off, dig out the wood and use a pour in epoxy that works pretty well. Saves a lot of labor.
