Wreaths Across America - Camp Nelson National Cemetery
Again this year I helped unload & unbox the wreaths that will be placed on the gravesites of veterans buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Weatherman called for 100% chance of rain on Wednesday 12/14/22, so I dressed accordingly. Well, it actually did rain ... from the time I met up with the Rolling Thunder guys and other volunteers at our local Cabela's, all the way down to the cemetery. Then it stopped :woohoo and didn't rain the whole time while the 7000+ wreaths were unloaded from the two semi's that brought them down from Maine, all the way thru the unboxing and staging in the different sections of the cemetery.

A third semi will be bringing the rest of the 9000+ wreaths on Friday 12/16/22 ... and then on Saturday 12/17/22 the ceremony will be held at noon, and after that's over the volunteers that signed up to lay the wreaths will take their assigned stations and begin laying the wreaths at the graves ... saying the name of the veteran, thanking them for their service, and telling them they will not be forgotten.
I only had time to take this one picture, but hope to get a chance to take several on Saturday & post them to this thread.
