OPINIONS REQUESTED: best hi viz BRAIDED fishing line

Have not been on the water in a LONG TIME now, and have decided that now is the time for me to make the conversion I've been wanting to for years - TIME TO SWITCH TO BRAID.

I've not done much vertical jigging in deep water for toothy-critters in years, but when I last did, it was done with braid + fluoro leader and YOU COULD FEEL A FISH FART if he was within 2 feet of that jig.

I ONLY use HI-VIZ for crappies, but have heard stories about braid *NOT* STAYING HI VIZ very long once spooled up and used a bit??

Let me know what you slab-slayers out there using braid prefer so I can get some headed for the mailbox. Got some time off coming up soon and hope the water clears up enough to try it. Got another HDS installed now as well and chomping to commission it

I use PowerPro 10/2 hi-viz and yes ... it will lose a lot of the hi-viz after a season or two. Then I just turn it around and use the other end for a couple more seasons. :ThumbsUp But, even after losing a bit of its color, it's still a lot more visible than plain mono.

Power Pro Slick 8 in Moonshine color. It will glow with black light. 10/2 is usually what I use for size. I like 8/1 the best when I can find it. It does last a long time. After I use the other end. I will cut off about 40 feet, use a backing on the spool to get to a fresh spot on the line.

I favor Berkeley Nanofil 4 lb test with a fluorocarbon leader. So sensitive that the hi vis isn’t as important as mono hi vis. If a crappie thinks about biting a lure, you can feel the brain waves. Grin.

if you want to go with Nanobraid, then I would go with suffix hi vis yellow in 6 lb test and fluorocarbon leader.
