Just one !
Had a chance to fish for an hour and a half this morning.
Twenty degrees cooler this morning than yesterday. 52 degrees when I left the house with windy conditions with gusts over 30mph .
I took my 56 Daiwa Gekkabijin Ajing Rod paired with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000 , and 3# Pline .
I tried spoons for a bout thirty minutes without a nibble .
With the drop in temps , I thought maybe a slower presentation might work .
I switched to a drop shot using a 1/64 hook size 10 jighead with a monkey milk Bobby Garland Itty Bitty swimmer with a 1/16 weight about 14 below.
On about my tenth cast , I felt a tap and raised the rod to set the hook on my only catch of the day .
We have the remnants of hurricane Nicole headed here late tomorrow and a cold front by this weekend that will drop us below freezing by Sunday morning.
Its that time of year .
Time to sharpen up my drop shot skills .

Nice. No skunk and you got out, sounds like a win to me.

Well done gill. One is better than none and getting out is the best part.

As far as getting out , I’m going try to get out tomorrow morning.
I have a plan .
Weather predicted at 10am tomorrow, cloudy 62 degrees , with a slight chance of rain and 30mph+ wind .
Drop shot all the way at the town pond by the bridge . Hoping the bridge will block some of the wind .
