Big Boat Ride Cross Bayou, Horseshoe Lake, Workinger Bayou, Black River Lake
Tried Black River Lake complex today. Put in at Monterey on Cross Bayou. Went by boat to Workinger Bayou. It’s a little tricky to find. And guarded by lots of stumps! Fished fallen trees in Workinger. Caught a few small crappie. Went into Black River Lake and fished some nostalgia. First time I fished there Willie Nelson was young! Caught a big white bass on a crankbait. No crappie found. Rode back to Cross Bayou and caught a few small ones under the bridge.
Should have gone to Larto.
