Catfish and Buffalo

I took a neighbor out to fish Cats yesterday. Slabbandit stopped by the fish cleaning station. We kept 2 Buffalo and limits of Channel Cats. Released about 10 more and a couple of Crappie my neighbor caught on minnors.
The Buffalo have moved in our baited holes. Those ribs are better than Catfish too! I caught one in the mouth and the bigger one got snagged in the poot shoot!:rolleyes: It was on a small rod with Zebco 33 reel ,that fish made the reel scream too !:D They sure can pull when foul hooked . I fried some ribs last night along with some Catfish Fillets. :D

Hey Slabbandit are you fishing this weekend ? Good meeting your Dad yesterday at the cleaning station. He going to fish with you this summer ?

Hope we catch some tomorrow! We'll see ya there at 6...I'm going to drive down tonight and sleep in the truck. So I'll see ya about 5:30 or so....:D

I have had buffalo ribs before and realy enjoyed them but doubt I would know how to clean them right. May have to learn though as I have started baiting a hole up on Ouachita. Hope I have half the success you are having on Nimrod.

Hey NIMROD, I've been stuck down in L.R. without internet access. Just got back home tonight. Yea, Dad enjoyed watching you fillet those cats so fast with a regular fillet knife. Those buffalo ribs had my mouth waterin'.:)

I doubt if I fish this weekend as we are all planning on building a front porch on Mom and Dad's place this weekend. Catch a bunch of 'em and I'll probably see you around.
