Kayak report for Limestone creek

I fished limestone creek Thursday morning from daylight till 10:30 . Only caught 1 crappie, 3 catfish and a bluegill. The water was at full pool and zero current. The good news is the middle and 1 st pit are full of shad. Saw several big schools in both pits. I saw my old friend at the mouth of the bay. I saw a log that i thought looked a little like a alligator head. As i got a little closer he slowly went under. I kept fishing and in about 7-8 minutes he come up with just his eyes above water. he watched me for a few minutes and decided i was no threat as came up and slowly started swimming upstream. I watched him go past the bend before i lost sight of him. His head is huge and he is long. I bet its the same one Damion saw yesterday. Very neat to watch him. Hope they drop the water more this next week
