First day since July 14th that the gates at Sardis spillway have been open.
I figure it will take a week before fishing the spillway and lower lake will be worth the time going.

During our time at the spillway we saw a few fish caught and all or most were released back to the water or on the bank. We caught 6 gar and drum.
