personal best
grandson/I hit small lake EARLY yesterday and he caught his best/biggest gil so far. 11 inches almost 14 oz. We got some pics and will try toget him to post. He is still getting them on waxies and at 13 years old still needs a bite every 20 seconds or so. Lots of fun with him and he has been running gas motors all summer. The jon boat for the ponds has been good but I need to keep reminding to go slow. He thinks 5 forward and 3 reverse are the only speeds on it. I have told him more than once I don't have a seat belt in my chair. Lol! Headed home for the winter soon. Bought him a new open face reel and it has been a Circus watching him use it. He forgets to look at reel sometimes and we get some really good tangles. I tell him he is the best tree catcher/dock snatcher and line breaker I have ever fished with. Worth every minute to have him go with me!

Congratulations! A lot of people fish their whole life and don't get one that big.
