I fished limestone creek last week with no fish caught. The gate behind moorsville that goes to the sand bar was locked I went to the other put in spot by the observation tower and it was open. Fished all the way back to the sand bar and never caught a Fish.

I fished this week at swan creek and caught several good bass and some blue gill. Will add pic later today.
I came close to going to limestone yesterday. I might as well have caught one Gill and that’s it. Wonder why the gate is closed??Supposed to stay open until October.

The gates on the east side are open all summer but the one at Moorseville (west side of the creek) is only open 10 FEB to 31 May and again 1 to 14 OCT per my list. Someone on the forum may have more up to date information.
I hardly ever go down in there. Just thought it was same as the rest.

Thanks. I should have looked at the schedule before going. Hope the bite improves soon at limestone
The water needs to get into the low 70"s for the Crappie to enter the creeks following the baitfish. In the 60's they start pouring in.
