Failed experiment

Tried something this evening that didn't quite work out.
First some black heads were dipped into Alewife for 2 colors.

After the jig was tied and as eyes were being reached for, an idea to try red paint in the eye recess on the jig instead.

Initially, looked good.
But when applying UV over the top the red paint instantly bled wildly.
Went ahead and UVed over it anyway.
It will fish.

The last pic is another try, waiting for the paint to dry this time.

Yeah, may end up being a pretty nice touch.

The fish certainly will not mind
