7ft rod

i am after a 7 ft spinning rod to cast light jigs such as 1 /32oz, been thinking about the Sam Heaton super sensitive or the Bass pro shops Microlite series in 7ft.any comments, i was thinking about the ESP 7ft model, but don't want micro line guides.
And as for lines after fishing the last few weeks i am seeing braided line is more sensitive over 4lb mono's, the problem i see is the braided line does not sink too well with 1 /32oz jigs, been thinking about the SOS 4lb line, will adding a split shot on the leader a foot or so away from the jig work with my braid set up, i normally use a 2 ft or so leader on the braids.

I have the Bass Pro micro lite in 7' it will definitely sling a jig

Some say you can't feel bites where they move up with the bait when you put a splitshot above it, but I use braid & add a split shot sometimes & although i'm a newbie at crappie fishing i don't really see it myself. I get some bites at times i wish i didn't feel. At least my arms, neck & shoulders wish i didn't when holding that 13 foot rod. rotfl

i see there are 3 models in the 7ft rods, they are rated by 2-6 lb line 4-8 lb line and a 4-10 lb line. which one do you have

Can buy tips for Sam Heaton Toss the others . Cost would be a factor . splitting hairs .

Good point

I prefer one pc 7 footers myself , seem a bit more sensitive to me , split shot above jigs is not the best way to pitch a jig , crappie are known to hit the split shot in some cases and an up bite if you are vertical will be difficult to detect as well .

I own some microlites, Sam Heaton super sensitive, St. Croix, GLoomis, but for throwing light jigs i use the Airstream from bass pro, $60, with power pro 8-1 white, or nanofil, with 4-6 lb pline leader
