Find the baitfish, then look for the Crappie. Best guess is timber deep, the water is warm!
Baitfish everywhere. Lots scattered under very little pressure. A few tight balls being fed on. We pulled cranks. All keepers were in open water. All small fish were on brush piles. Only five keepers. 20 or so 8 3/4 fish on. Dbl 1/48 jig head. One with Bobby garland itty bit slab slayer blk/pink on bottom. With tiny gulp chart/white on top. Both caught fish equally.
Yep, when baitfish are everywhere all you can do is cover water.
I caught endless Crappie just short of 9 inches yesterday, I feel your pain!
Scope single standing trees with no tops, the whites here have been 12-13 foot and on about every 3rd one, but they haven’t been aggressive

When I go to Cedar this time of year, I spider rig deep. Looks like you had a good trip out.
