Just wondering at what depth do you folks fish when the water temp reaches 85 degrees, I have read and experienced fishing the thermocline (here is about 12 foot). I have read that the crappie and other fish are not as conformable at depths deeper that that because water oxygen levels are not so good, just wondering at what depths do you fellows fish at when the water temp gets hot. Thanks for your help in advance.

I usually sink all my treetop and reeds to match the thermocline, just wondering if I am right.
I fish as deep as the thermocline allows/dictates without fishing below it, concentrating on cover items that rise above it in the water column. Where/when possible I fish areas/banks that are shaded (tree lined banks, docks, bridges).
If you have a webpage showing water temps/oxygen at depths, understand that those readings are likely taken at the dam of that lake and the thermocline in other areas of the lake "can be" at different depths than what is shown on the chart.

I adjust the depthfinder sensitivity to find the thermocline in the main basin of the lake. Next, I search for baitfish schools and try to locate active fish chasing the baitfish, then concentrate on the depth the most active/willing fish are holding above the thermocline. I concentrate on depth and food more than cover. The depth the fish hold normally increases as the sun climbs higher in the sky. Your results may vary.

even the cheapest graph will show the thermocline and you are for sure wasting time trying to ketch below it ....
