Based on some tips, I headed out to Berry bend and headed up river. We found some HUGE flats, but the water was moving pretty good. The fish that pushed up into the coves were dinks or not looking to eat. We managed to catch a few, but we spent more time searching, than fishing. Since I've never fished this area, it was more of an expedition than a fishing trip. It's all good, we are learning new areas and broadening our options for fishing. I got some more intel about the area from a couple locals who limited, maybe next time! :)
