My bail messed up on my spinning reel only to find out when took it apart no spring. Any recommendations on a good spinning reel for ultralight rods? I use it as my main rod for everything from bream and crappie to bass and catfish.

I've been using these for a few years. Seem to be very smooth and pretty rugged.

Find out how much your broken reel weighed ... then look for another reel that's the same weight. That is, IF that reel balanced the rod.
I'll just assume that it did balance well, so I'd look for a similar size/weight reel.
