Glad to see those two mallards take flight when I walked in today, which means I have the lake to myself. Always a good thing for the novice with a flyrod. Enjoyed some action with the glass 3 wt., the gills and crappies put a nice bend in that little stick. Looks like a fun time was had, my father was a fly rod whiz on the Panfish. Certain times during the Summer he could catch more than me from the back of the boat on the fly rod.

Some nice catches. Looks like they are in spawn mode, by the looks of their tails. Is this a shallow lake?
