Clear soft plastic becoming my favorite non-color
Last year I happened to be messing around in my workshop and before I added color to some clear plastic that was heating up, I thought, why not pour it into molds as is? Long ago I caught bass on a clear plastic Zara Spook and PopR surface lures as well as Jim Rogers clear plastic crankbaits never thinking that clear soft plastic lures would work.
The lures I made were either all clear or a clear part added to a colored segment:

This 27" chain pickerel was caught yesterday using a clear plastic curl tail grub:

The largest bass (2 3/4 lb) and crappie (12") caught yesterday were caught on a 4" clear curl tail grub:
