Weird question, I have 6 jenko slab 16 ' rods. I broke 5 of the tips and ordered replacement tips(whole third piece) from jenko. The new ones seem super flemsey and I'm not even sure they will handle 3/4 ounce weights. Has anyone ever stuffed some material down the shafts or have sny tricks? If they had a little support 5 foot down they might work. Any ideas??

Would the 16ft Jenko spider troll tips fit? I know it would be more money spent, but mine are pretty stiff I troll up to 1oz weights and they do great. I think they are rated for 3oz, not 100% sure on that though. Boat swung a many of fish and only broke one. That was my fault though, not the rod.
Not jenko poles but I have used bnm 16' jig poles for 7 or 8 years and I have never broke a tip. Before those I used bnm pro staff poles for 5 or 6 years never broke a tip on them either. I have always used 1oz sinker on them as well. The pro staff I used to troll cranks with running 2oz sinkers. Everybody I have ever seen break a tip on a pole did it to thereself. Setting hook like they was setting it in a shark or reeling the line up to much and picking up a fish out of the water or getting hung and instead of pointing the pole at the hung just pull straight up on it until it broke. or used to big of a line like 20 pd test .... you might want to try bnm power trollers. I push cranks with those with up to 6oz sinkers and they would hold more..
I have used 16’ slab city rods with 5/8 oz weights and never had a problem with tips breaking so I’m not sure what’s going on there. I don’t think it would be a problem using the 3/4 oz weights but they will have a lot of bend. The spider troll rods are much stiffer but i don’t think the tips are interchangeable with the slab city.

I have a variety of 16' poles for spider rigging. Bass Pro poles the stiffest. yet soft enough to flex during a bite. They don't bounce with every wave like B&M do.
man thats a LONG rod , no clue here , never touched one over 12 foot and cant even get used to a 10 ....:popcorn
How did you break the tips? I’ve doubled over my southern crappie rods and haven’t broken a single tip yet.
