Practice makes perfect they say .....
And to be sure there are times it is just for practice. The local fish are moving quickly towards a summer pattern in some places . This in turn brings numbers of those frisky little fish into the program .
For entertainment and practice a herd of under size crappie are a nice fit for a lunch break visit. It isn't that there are no large fish in the mix , it is just about the ratio of larges to smalls .
So if you have the spot and the time , go pitch a jig for practice on them little buggers . 30 or 40 in an hour beat not ketchn all day long in my book and for sure ......:highfive
Practice makes perfect , these fish want it a certain way and the next batch yet another way and at the end of the day , it all helps polish a crappie angler into a nice smooth operator !
KABOOM is the word ya'll :Cowboy
This particular spot has them in 50/50 black and white mix and they are wanting it falling slowly diagonally in the water column , they take it from just under the surface to almost straight down and it rarely goes untouched on every pitch .
Often times one will hit the dock and come off and before you can give it a shove back in the water another one will be laying right beside it , pretty fun practice fish for sure .:cheers2
