Lake Verret 4/11-4/12

Headed out Monday afternoon we were trying to wait the weather out but it didn't work. We got wet. Set up camp by about 4pm everything was wet and started fishing in crackerhead to avoid the wind. Picked up a big white and a few catfish. Made it back to camp a little after dark. The boys started hurting eels and crawfish. I started on dinner. FYI the Chinese restaurants can cook eels better than I. Checked the weather for the morning 30 mph wind by 11. I told the boy we have to pack up early to make it back across the lake. Morning rolled around packed up fast ran back dropped all the gear fished for a couple of hours before it got to ruff. Boys had a good time. I agree the chinese restaurant cooks them better than me also. We use to catch a bunch in the shrimp traps in the Miss. river. Slippery little suckers.

Dat looks like a good time wuz had. To bad da weather cut it short.
