HiTek rod holder help
Need recommendation of a way to help Port-side HiTeks stay tight during long-line trolling. They have the right-threaded bolt and lockwasher...don't stay tight like the starboard-side. I have plastic 3-sided bolt-heads for quick adjustment w/o wrench.

I cut off a half inch box end wrench and it stays in the boat. Made loops from a couple of tie wraps to hold it when not in use. Mine don’t move and I’m not shy about crankin em down as Scott said.

Problem solved...like Billy Crystal would say "You look Mahwelous!":biggrin Actually, thought of two other cures...still keeping Star-knob bolt(no wrench needed)= 1- coat both contact surfaces w/PlastiDip let dry 2- attach two trimmed, self-adhesive Velcro pieces to both contact surfaces:check Also, was amazed to find that my new rig(3 batteries 2/27's(trolling) and 1/24(starting) had ZERO protective, terminal covers! Contacted factory(overlooked woops)nonono Their response was that they don't use them, no complaints over the years!:banghead:hatchet: Besides investing in the non-cheap terminal covers(6), I had some PlastiDip in black and red...check bolts for tightness/color coat terminals = FIX!:highfive
