Headed your way!
This old nc boy and wife are headed down your way in the morning for a week of fishing. We are staying just above lake George on St. John's river. We plan of fishing for everything. lol. I like crappie and a little bass fishing and she loves stripers so I had a few general questions. If I long line for crappie would I be better off in the river or go on out to lake George? I love pulling cranks for crappie as well so will probably try that as well. Also I see yall have a lot of hybrids in that area. We pull alabama rigs for them up here. Does anybody pull them for the hybrids down there? Any info is appreciated. Only been down fishing one other time 2 years ago but absolutely loved it. You are very lucky to have such beautiful places and great fishing.

My wife and I just got back from our place on Little Lake George (RiverBend) and for stripers I'd look for birds diving for bate or if on the water try shrimp on the bottom (caralina rigging). As far as crappie I believe they are in open water for the most part but try the old dock posts around Drayton island and check the map for others. Good luck and enjoy
