Secession 3-22-22
Have not seen any Secession reports so I thought I would get it a try. Seems I like to pick the days with a lot of wind and muddy water :Rofl Long lined 6 rods with 1/16 oz jigs with some tipped a few times but mostly just running jigs with speed being .07 to 1.3 mph. Fished above the bridge with the water being 60+ degrees, muddy with lots of debris on the surface and submerged. Just about made it half way to the left bend before catching my fish and caught one more before reaching the bend. The bite picked up from the bend to the shallows but nothing really to brag about. More short fish than keeper fish with a mix of crappie and white perch. I did catch one real nice white bass, been a long time since I even caught a white bass on Secession. Fished from 11 until 2:30 as the wind got to much to keep fighting. The total catch was 22 kept 8, next up will be Russell. Was asked about my setup so adding a couple of picture. I run a 12', 8' and 5 1/2' off each side. Any day is a good day for being outside on the water!
