Really had high hopes for this trip, then came the rain. Big creek was flowing like the red river. Ran to my usual spots that i have fished for man years. Went at it hard all morning. Got zero bites doing the under cork thing in bushes and around trees. Tried multiple areas. Spoke to a few other guys who had nothing. Only caught one and that one was deep. May be done with the complex for the year.
I went to Caddo for a while yesterday. Only caught 1, and couldn't give it away at the ramp. Asked 3 or 4 boats and no one had anything to keep so they wouldn't take my one fish. Probably means the bite is on today since I'm back at work. lol
4 1/4" of rain is going to hamper things for a while.
That depends , I’ve seen it kick the spawn into high gear. Time to search the shallows!Quote:
