Advice please

Hello all. I just got a 90 nitro tracker 165 with a 90 90hp johnson outboard. After removing am old transducer I found several old holes and messed up gelcoat.

How should I go about fixing this?

I have used fiberglass putty to fill in holes and then seal with paint. It worked well for me.

Aluminium or glass? Hard to tell from pic but hopefully not glass.

Is that glass over wood I am seeing?

I’d check for moisture.
Check for rot.
If good use small boat patch kit. $20
Then put a transducer mounting plate over the patch.

However you fix I’d put a trans plate on for future to eliminate going forward.

What works good for a transducer plate is old plastic cutting boards.

I used an HDPE cutting board to cover the recessed trolling motor well when I changed TM. I imagine it would do great for a transducer plate.
