What is your favorite structrue? Bamboo , Trees, PVC, Wood Stakebed ,or other. I favor Cedar or Oak Stakebeds. Next would be Persimmon Trees for brushpiles. They both hold fish but the stakebeds are easier to fish without hanging up. :) I've tried Bamboo with mixed results and PVC did'nt work for me.:confused:
Stumps and rocks are the only structure I've fished over really. In our lake there are a couple buckets with boards sticking out of them, but they are high and dry now. They are draining our lakes during the spawn!!!
We have a lot in common nimrod,stake beds and large cedar with the smaller limbs removed are hands down my best producers.
I have to go with 'boo, since I just put one subsidized housing development out this week and have gotten fish off it already! Before this week, I'd have gone with brush.
I picked "brush/trees" because that's closest to stumps/logs.
Weed edges and dropoffs are the other spots I have lots of luck with. I'm not sure, but I don't know anyone around here that actually places structure (not even sure if it's legal in NY) - no condo's to be found in our neck of the woods.
I went with brush/trees. We drop Christmas trees in our favorite holes.
I have had good luck with bamboo tops for 20 years. Recently I have begun experimenting with pvc because it will last forever. I put out some pvc tops 30 days ago and have already caught about a dozen 12" fish off of them.
