I have used several different bobber stops in the past and have never really found one that I like any better than another. I have used one similar to the one in the picture and it was okay. It was the one you run the line in and out of a couple different holes. The one in the picture is a wrap that appears can be added after you tie your hook. Have any of you used this type and what are your opinions?

Just cut off a piece of 18 inches 10# mono. Next, wrap this piece of 10 lb. mono around your main line on the fishing rod where you want the knot to be (your main fishing line has to be taut on your rod to do this). Then simply tie 4 or 5 tight overhand knots right on top of each other. Trim both tag ends kinda close to the knot.Quote:

I like these also don't know the brand I use. I also have used string type knots. My 90 year old fishing partner taught me how to use a rubber band as a bobber stop several years ago. I don't mind any of them as long as they don't catch in the guides.Quote:

I have purchased some like these on ebay. Do a search for bobber stop. You can get several for cheap. You may need to get some beads also, the stops are small and will pass through a cork.Quote:

Yep, that’s the trick. I like the rubber “egg” ones in the smaller size for my light lines. I gave up trying to get a slip setup on my one JDM rod. The guides are just too small. Not a real problem on my Home Creek. I use an an easily adjustable fixed mode EZ FLOAT.Quote:

What's the smallest diameter line you have used bobber stops on successfully? I like the rubber egg ones but it is hard to find ones that hold on smaller line diameters.
