I'm putting a pole mount in front of right side rod locker on a stratos bass boat. Would even with trailer frame be good or does pole need to be a little longer? Also if scouting off to the side of boat in perspective mode would this see bottom of hull? Thanks

Typically a 48 inch downrod is more than sufficent for a DeepV boat and a 36 inch downrod is fine for most Skeeter, Nitro Z or RangerZ style boats.
