Question on roadrunners

Hey everyone just had a quick question if anyone has ever tried the weedless roadrunner jig head? If not what do you suggest for weedless jigs?Attachment 418105

i my experience there is no such thing as a weedless crappie jig. Ive fooled with em but haven't found one yet that impressed me

I use Road Runner's often, but I have never used the weedless one. With the head design and blade, I don't get hung up very often at all. For other weedless jigheads I would try this method How To Make Your Own Weedless Jig Heads That Will Increase Your Crappie Catches - YouTube

you can cover the hook with crappie nibbles , 2 will do it most of the time , it is good for a few minutes if you are light handed

No experience with weedless RRs but they are awesome lures AND TTI Blakemore an awesome sponsor.

I use weedless roadrunners all the time, my favorite way to catch crappie in fact! I make my own though; tie a piece of 40lb mono to the hook, superglue, then crimp the mono to make the weedguard. I throw them in brushpiles and feel them bumping off wood all the time, and lose very few.

Sounds like an effective way of DIY. Would you mind sharing a picture of one of your jig heads as an example?

I purchased about 1/2 dozen of the weedless Road Runner heads. I cut the weed guards off and now they are regular Road Runners. I found the weed guards to be useless. When I quit casting in the weeds, I no longer need them!
