Slow day
Wylie this a.m. bout 9:15. Air temp 35 and water at ramp was 45. Hit Big A first . Only 2 takers. Went over to Tega Cay side and looked in deep water. Marked lot of fish in the 50-52 ft. channel but still nobody wanted a warm place to lay in. Kept looking and finally hit a combination they wanted. 35-40 fow at .2 to .3 Brought home 15 for the freezer. Probably 8-10 dinks put back. A little slow but gotta go when y get the chance. Saw Remus and fish finder out today . They had a few on the boat. Gonna turn on soon I hope. Attachment 418018Attachment 418019Attachment 418020

Good report, reading different post I noticed that there was different styles of fishing going on but it seems we all had similar results. That’s what enjoy about crappie fishin. There are different ways to fish for them. I get bored easy so I change lakes more for a change of scenery than the fish catching. I usually run and gun to different spots and target active fish. Yesterday I put the trolling motor down and didn’t pull it up for 3 hours. Covered approximately 3/4 mile and found a couple new brush piles and got in a few schools. Felt good to do something different and have success. Now I feel like I have a different tactic I can use with confidence. It’s hard to abandon something you’re confident in and venture into the unknown. Being able to fish a lot gives me a chance to fail and learn that I wasn’t willing to do when opportunities to fish were less often.

Being retired is nice. It really doesnt matter how many you catch one day when you can always go another day without public work getting in the way. I think I'm gonna like this new lifestyle.;):)
