Caught a few California shellcrackers yesterday
I was fishing for the species I knew lived there (bluegill/ green sunfish / warmouth) and all of a sudden Something started pulling my line out like crazy (mitchell zero gravity rods are so fun to fish with). I got it in and it was a 7 inch shellcracker. I was really surprised to find a shellcracker in the delta where I fish because I had never heard of anyone catching shellcrackers around here before. I love fishing in the delta... there are so many species of fish around here.
