I have looked for a 24 volt TM for a week, none to be found (like I want) having to put a 36 volt TM on the new boat..Question is do I have to run all new wire or can I just pull 1 extra wire?
Thanks

Wire size is determined by the Amperage, not the Voltage. As long as the wire is rated for the number of Amps the new TM draws at max - you shouldn't need to run new wire at all.
If you're running 12v batteries, just hook them together in series in the battery compartment and then the single pair of wires carry the full load to the TM.
Don't forget a fuse or circuit breaker - as close to the batteries as possible...not at the TM end.
I like the circuit breakers better. Easier to reset them than it is to change a fuse while on the wter. Provided it is from a overload and not a short circuit condition
They work well for that as well
