Spooky and Deep
Got out this morning, line freezing in the guides. Was kinda frustrating, bout 9:00 it quit and found some open water fish. They were spooky, didn’t want you closer than 40 feet and were down 28-32 feet and moving. By the time the jig got down they would be away from the jig. Kept trying and got 30+ and a couple good ones. Attachment 417838Attachment 417839

Tackleboat glad you made the voyage and caught some fish. I wanted to go today myself, but other things were in the way. Maybe later in the week for me. You still using the stinger type jig? I got some other jigs cutbait gave me that I thought of trying. I need to get back to making some jigs for the spring bite. Hope to see you out there soon! Thanks for the report you about got me ready to chase some crappies too! :highfive

Congrats on the catch. The other day when I went I saw the fish have all dropped in the water column to the bottom. I was fishing in water no deeper than 28' with everywhere other than the creek channel was between 20' and 24' and they hugged the bottom. These warmer temps this week should pull 'em back towards the top of the water column again (:scratchhead).
