Wiring and power help.
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and some what to crappie fishing. I'm about to wire up my fish finder which is a Lowrance Elite 7 Ti2 and some led lights for night fishing and navigation on my kayak. I'll be using a LIFEPO4 20ah battery to power them up. Should I be worried about the lights causing interference to the fish finder if they were on at the same time on the same battery?? If not would it be better to have them all tied to the same power wire from my battery box to my switch box and then separate them as needed with fuses? Or would it be better to have to separate power wires coming from the battery, 1 for the fish finder and 1 for the lights? Sorry for the long winded question but look forward to learning from here. Thanks.

In my boat I have Led Nav lights , led spot lights, and the lowrance depth finder / side scan running off the same battery, on different fuses, at the fuse box. I run it all together often and have not noticed any interference at all. I believe you will be good any way you decide to wire it

You won’t have any interference from the led lights showing distortion on the graph. I would go with your idea of using a power switch and fusing the two power wires from there for each component. That way you can control the power draw with the switch turned off and not completely drain the battery when not in use. Post some pics of the install so we all could learn from it. Tightlines to ya and see ya on the water!
