This will be used for catfish and crappie. How would you place this on the boat?
It is made of support arms from a travel trailer awning. I cut angle brackets from the tubing. It is rivited together. Bottom of legs will have more angle brackets and angle supports from pontoon boat railing. I can mount it on the back corners or more forward. Going to try and put pics
Sure save a little deck space by mounting it all the way back. The only down side I see for mounting all the way back is the risk of stepping into the splash well and losing ones balance. The deck being plywood may also give you a sturdier mount
Another option would be placing the supports toward the back.....
All the way back, as far back is my vote but make darn sure there isn’t any interference with your trim on your motor. I put a Bimini top on my boat and had the motor trimmed all the way down for the install and then realized after the fact that the only way for me to stow the top completely is with the motor trimmed all the way down, it’s not worth the trouble to move it but occasionally I’m aggravated by it. Nice rack by the way.
