I launched before daylight and made my way to the docks I was going to start shooting. Water temp was 56 degrees. The wind was howling. Had the water pretty choppy. The fishing didn't start to heat up until the sun started up in the sky. I threw a bunch of colors at them and they answered back that they wanted Blue Ice. They also wanted the Baby Shad sized bait. They would ignore the full size Slab HuntR 's and the Itty Bit ones. If that's what they wanted that's what I gave them. Only 2 short fish all day. I lost 3 fish at the surface or near enough to see. I kept 10 for the table. On this 13th day the 13th fish I boated was 13". I took that as a sign from the fish gods to pack it in and go home. The bruiser of the day got a quick photo and releases to grow up to be a TARP in spring. Attachment 412613Attachment 412614Attachment 412615
