Monroe 11/10/21
Slimjim and I hit Monroe at first light. It seems many others had the same plan. True to form I spent the first 2 hours netting Jim’s fish. Glad I could make myself useful. Finally I put an average size slab in the cooler. 12:30pm we had 11 nice fish for dinner. Thanks for accompanying me on the boat shake down. 7 months is to long under the cover. Great times with great friends!Attachment 412378Attachment 412379

Y’all had a better day than I did. Always good when you put the projects aside for a while and get down to business.

We also ventured to Monroe. My brother from another mother came down from Illinois this past week for some warmer weather and some Florida crappie. We made our rounds to a different lake in the area each day. After a couple of slow days we decided to return to Monroe after being there for the slabfest and see what it would be like on a calmer day. We managed to catch a nice mess of crappie and had a enjoyable day to finish out his trip.:highfive He also managed to catch about a 3' gar which gave him a pretty good little fight. great time was had by all. I think he is still looking for the standing timber and rip rap:Rofl:RoflAttachment 412457 Attachment 412458
