Anyone have an experience with these castavle fish finders? Are they worth buying if you couldnt afford a more expensive fish finder and fish in an inflatable kayak (hypothetically of course)

I looked into them a couple of months back and never ended up getting one. I saw some good reviews on them
While mine wasn’t the casting one I do have the Lucky brand one. It’s ok and basically just let’s you know if there is something in the water. Personal if it was me I should have saved a little longer and bought maybe a small garmin or even a used unit from someone. My buddy found a garmin Stryker 4 I think for around $100 and it’s a better unit. The lucky is convenient being about the size of phone and charged by usb.
Oh one more thing until I mounted the transducer on a fixed arm on my kayak the bobbing and moving really messed with the image quality since it floats. Might have same issue. :dono
Basically if fishing from the bank I think they are a good option, if on the water then I would look for something else. :twocents
the types you speak of , work on a very basic basis , have not been impressed with most of them other than how deep are the fish and are there any fish , in the end do they work yep
I got a garmin striker 4 cv for $145. For what I paid it works great and I’m completely satisfied.
