My brother and I went to shooting range this morning at a WIldlife Management Area .
After shooting a couple of hours . I got a chance to cast a jig around the banks for about an hour and a half .
Would up catching six small gills on a 1/32 jig I’d tied with variegated chenille and a rabbit fur tail . Rod was a 7’ Daiwa Laguna Ultralight with a Kastking reel .
Small gills but the thump was fun .

You did great catching with your own jigs
Love the pics. catching the gills is always a fun time. Well catching anything is a fun time to me. And trying your own jigs is awesome.
Back when I was tying and fly fishing a lot catching on your own ties added a real lot to the fun and satisfaction of fooling a fish with your own creation. As you say, catching anything is fun.Quote:
